The Veins- an Expansion for Pound of Flesh *spoilers for players*

OK, players in Children of the Void campaign stay out of the file attached to this one, *spoilers* within.

"The Veins" is a space- or collection of spaces- in the underbelly of Prospero's Dream- the space station presented within Mothership module A Pound of Flesh, by Donn Stroud, Sean McCoy & Jay Buragay. Which is a module I love for its sandbox nature, factions & design choices that support the Warden at the table. Gritty noir cyberpunk city just oozes out of every page.

Imagine it as hidden layers of an entire city the with scale/population of Ney York, Singapore or Hong Kong- think sewers, metro lines mixed with industrial needs & life support systems, maintenance tunnels + weirdo spaces because, The Dream.

The Veins are explained enough in the module to run it, by I loved the idea so much I wanted to feature it- to physically echo the modules theme of things happening under the surface of society, a seamy underbelly you can crawl right into, and come out dirty...

So I made a generator to run it, almost dungeon crawl style. The way I used it is to roll the dice 5 times & pre-generate some locations/events from that & then roll as needed as the session evolves- I like to roll 1 or 2 steps ahead, as it helps give the players directions/choices or myself to describe any sensory information (light, smells, sounds etc) that might be coming from a certain place or to decide the most fun way to introduce any encounters rolled up. There's a few elements/references (e.g The Jockey NPC) specific to my campaign you can take or leave but not too many.

Even if you don't use the module, you might find this useful to present similar spaces or mine for ideas, if you want vent crawling into giant industrial elevator shafts, disused tube stations, enormous deadly fans to run through, vast radiation soaking cisterns, android graveyards & Paris catacombs style cult lairs- click here!
